About Us: Open Day for Owners and Friends 2008
After such poor weather for much of the summer, our invitation Open Day on
Sunday 21st September took place on a fine, sunny morning. About 120 guests saw
horses from the stable put through their paces on our own Gallops, at the canter
and full gallop. Other horses were led round the ring on parade and they were
all on show in their stables.

Stuart Beaumont's customary barbecue was held outside in the sunshine, with
tables set out on the lawn in front of the stables, for breakfast and cups of
tea/coffee.

As always, the horses and riders (including our new stable jockey, Gary Berridge)
played their part impeccably, and the stable staff behind the scenes worked with
great efficiency (and covered a few miles themselves) in keeping the display
running to schedule. Peter provided his customary commentary on proceedings,
with pertinent comments about each horse's prospects for the season ahead.
